Buying Money On eBay

A $10 bill was sold on eBay for $27,100 today. Granted, it's an old one that was purchased by some collector. It's a serial #1 note (meaning it was the first one printed) and features McKinley who was assassinated in 1901. What I find kind of funny, is the seller didn't want to go through the hassle of listing it on eBay themselves, so they sold it through an eBay drop-off store. Because of that, $5,420 of the selling price will go to the people that decided to list it for the owner (20% commission).

Many unusual items have been listed for sale on the auction website eBay. Some sold while .... The auction caught the attention of a local newspaper.
