Stolen Pacemakers

Amber Elizabeth Bowen, 21, was arrested last week and remains in jail on a $25,000 bail. She stole 2 pacemakers worth $6,000 each and sold them on eBay for $200 each. One of the "hot" pacemakers was already implanted in a patient in Arizona.

What would *really* scare me though would be getting surgery done at a hospital that buys things like pacemakers on eBay.

I wonder if they will have to remove it and return it to it's rightful owner? :)
