Bill C. Ford Jr., the chairman and chief executive of Ford Motor, has been added to online auction behemoth eBay's board, the latter said late Wednesday.
A simple addition, apparently: eBay's not replacing an existing board member, it's merely expanding the board to eleven members. "What he's done at Ford Motor Company would benefit any board. We're really pleased to have him," crowed a spokesman. Neither is there any link between eBay's auto trade and Ford's appointment.
